Ricardo P Lloyd : Paramount

Go Live Theatre, the charity dedicated to breaking down barriers so that young people and families can experience the transformative power of theatre, has today unveiled its newest cohort of Patrons.

Among them, actor, writer, and global creative Ricardo P Lloyd shines as a dynamic voice for the next generation.

Reflecting on his appointment, Ricardo P Lloyd said:

“As an artist and global citizen, theatre was never designed for someone like me — yet it became the stage where I discovered my power. As a new generation of artists rise, I want to ensure the doors remain wider open than ever. My mission as Patron of Go Live Theatre is to inspire those who feel unseen and remind them that their stories deserve the spotlight too. Culture moves forward when everyone moves with it, and I’m proud to stand for that.”

Ricardo joins a distinguished group of cultural leaders including Paapa Essiedu, Beverley Knight MBE, Adrian Lester CBE, Dame Elaine Paige, Sir Jonathan Pryce, Mark Strong, Meera Syal, and James Graham. Together, they will champion access and inclusivity in the arts.

About Go Live Theatre

Go Live Theatre is a registered charity that harnesses the power of theatre to inspire children, young people, and families across the UK.

  • Access for all: Tackling physical, emotional, social, and financial barriers so everyone has the chance to experience theatre.

  • Impact: From subsidised tickets for low-income families through the Family First Nights programme, to Relaxed Performances for young people with additional needs, the charity has brought the joy of live theatre to thousands.

  • Education at the heart: Working with schools, charities, and youth groups, programmes such as Playmakers and Go Create give young people the chance to write, devise, and perform their own theatre with professional support.

  • Reach: Since its founding, over 12,000 families have been supported through the Family First Nights programme alone, alongside vital work with SEND schools and community organisations.

A Collective Mission

By welcoming Ricardo P Lloyd and its new patrons, Go Live Theatre strengthens its commitment to ensuring that every child and young person—regardless of background, income, or ability—has the chance to experience the life-changing impact of theatre.
