With record sales in excess of over 30 million + albums, the incomparable award winning LEEE JOHN of 80’s crossover soul hit-makers IMAGINATION has announced a 12-date UK tour for 2024, performing all their unforgettable greatest hits as well as tracks from his diverse music solo career.

To coincide with the 40th Anniversary of LEEE JOHN & his group IMAGINATION, the “Flashback (40th Anniversary) Greatest Hits 2024 UK Tour” comes to Wylam Brewery, Newcastle with a very special live performance taking place on Thursday 9th May 2024.

Thereafter, travelling all across the country taking in a date at London’s Indigo2 on 11th May, Manchester’s RNCM on 19th May with further dates to be added, this tour will reflect an incredible musical journey of songs from of the UK’s finest recording Artists spanning over a spectacular 4 decades.

Ahead of this live show date next year LEEE JOHN will be coming to Newcastle on Friday 1st December, helping to raise crucial funds in support of the forthcoming “North East Hearts with Goals 80’s Super Ball” taking place at Grand Hotel Gosforth Park on Saturday 2nd December.

North East Hearts with Goals was started by sisters in law Christine Stephenson & Kelly Best in 2013 for both personal and common sense reasons.

In June 2020 North East Hearts with Goals was awarded the Queens Award for voluntary service equivalent to an MBE.

LEEE JOHN says, “ I was really shocked and stunned to find out that sudden cardiac arrest is the UK’s biggest killer especially with the younger youth, seeing all the amazing work Christine and Kelly do is just incredible and happy to be help where I can in coming to Newcastle and supporting this wonderful event helping to raise further funds.

Kelly’s husband and Christine’s brother Neil died suddenly in 2003 at the age of 32. 10 years later Kelly’s son was diagnosed with ARVC, a potentially fatal heart condition that could put him at risk of cardiac arrest.

In 2019 Kelly’s other Son and Father in Law were diagnosed with the same condition raises awareness of the importance of CPR placing defibrillators (AEDs) into the local schools colleges and sports clubs.

To date, the charity has placed over nearly 500 defibrillators around the North East and arranged training to use them.

Christine Stephenson says, “Our aim is to continue to raise further funding with this life saving work, helping provide awareness with regular updates about defibrillator placements and fundraising events such as the forthcoming “North East Hearts With Goals 80’s Super Ball.”

Following on from his recent music collaboration with the incredible Damon Alban, in which he co- wrote and sung with LEEE on the last Gorillaz Album “SONG MACHINE” with the phenomenal global track release

As well an explosive electric pop, duet single called “Don’t Stop” with verbose proto-punk extraordinaire Plastic Bertrand , written by LEEE and released Friday 8th April 2023 through (PIAS) on all good digital platforms.

Moving ahead in time, the “Flashback Greatest Hits (40th ANNIVERSARY) 2024 UK Tour” follows the release of “40 Years” in February. This compilation is a comprehensive retrospective of IMAGINATION’s and LEEE JOHN’s recorded music, featuring 189 tracks across a 17-CD box set curated by LEEE.

Celebrating four decades as one of the UK’s finest soul-stirring voices with genre-defining Brit Soul/Jazz/Funk songs, IMAGINATION has solidified its landmark position and influence for future generations in the music industry.

In continuing with the 40th Anniversary celebrations, this 4th qtr. we present the release of LEEE JOHN OF IMAGINATION CD audio Album, recorded live in May 2023 at the legendary iconic venue, the Olympia in Paris.

In terms of new music, out now is the release a stunning collaboration between LEEE JOHN & UK musical maestro Robb Scott titled, ‘Gotta Get Over You’ is romance gone wrong, the broken heart and that hopeless feeling of abandonment.

With music written, arranged and produced by Robb Scott and lyrics written by Leee John, heartbreak has never sounded so elegant.

LEEE’s stunning exquisite falsetto vocals soar over Robb’s beautiful production on the original versions with the North Street West remixes embracing the essence of those 80s soul tracks that we all know and love.

LEEE JOHN OF IMAGINATION continues to tour the world and has appeared with many world renowned Artists such as The Jacksons, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Nile Rogers of Chic, Incognito and Kid Creole and the Coconuts.

Recently he was honoured and given a Lifetime achievement award in the UK and a Humanitarian award in France for his continuous ongoing charity work support in aid of SOS children, a world orphan charity.
