The Return of a Legacy
This May, the heartbeat of Afro-Caribbean football will echo through London as the Unity Cup makes its long-awaited return after 21 years.
Hosted at the iconic Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, this historic tournament brings together four powerhouse nations—Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—for a week of exhilarating football and vibrant cultural celebration.
Originally launched in 2002, the Unity Cup has long stood as a testament to cultural pride, community spirit, and the power of sport to bring people together. The 2025 edition marks a milestone: for the first time in its history, four national teams will compete in a round of fixtures that promises both rivalry and unity.
The tournament kicks off on Tuesday, 27 May, with a highly anticipated Caribbean clash between Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. The following day, Wednesday, 28 May, sees continental titans Nigeria and Ghana renew one of Africa’s most intense football rivalries.
The tournament culminates on Saturday, 31 May, with a third-place playoff and a grand final to determine the Unity Cup champions.
