Micah McLean Talks

Micah McLean Talks is the rebranding of what was formerly known as "The Men's Talk Series'. Focusing on addressing topics such as faith, sport, politics, music and society the channel aims to create content that can engage people from all walks of life.

Micah McLean is the creator of the Micah McLean Talks (MMT) YouTube series. The project was created by Micah during the first lockdown in March 2020 to engage young people and millennials.

The project originally started as panel discussions where young men would talk about topics relating to mental health, manhood, faith, politics, and society.

Over time Micah interviewed music artists such as Papa San, DJ Nicholas, and Wayne Ellington, and then transitioned into the political arena where he interviewed high profile politicians such as Kwasi Kwarteng, Steve Baker, Stephen Timms, Dawn Butler, Sir Desmond Swayne and Neil Kinnock.

More recently he has gone more mainstream and has interviewed the likes of Bernice King, Levi Roots, Emile Heskey, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Alex Wheatle MBE, Jordan Jarret-Bryan, and Leroy Logan MBE.

In 2021, Micah was shortlisted for a National Diversity Award in Association with ITV News for the Positive Role (Race, Faith and Religion) category.

He was also recognised in the New Testament Church of God’s ‘Lifebuilders International Men’s Day’ awards for the significant contribution his project has made to the Black faith community and British society.

Micah creates content that pushes boundaries and his interviews have been described by his audience as pioneering, trailblazing, inspirational, and informative.
