UK Caribbean Community Honours Its Own at the 2nd Black Honour Awards

The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London was buzzing with excitement on Saturday, 26th October 2024, as it hosted the prestigious 2nd Black Honour Awards. Part of the Spirit of the Caribbean Annual Ball, this event celebrated the invaluable contributions of individuals and organisations within the UK Caribbean community. Friends, family, and peers gathered to honour and support the finalists and winners who have made outstanding impacts in various sectors.

Spanning categories from community development to creative industries, the awards acknowledged a wealth of achievements. The night highlighted the remarkable efforts of those dedicated to enhancing Caribbean culture and community life across the UK.

• Winner: Manhood Academy Global (MAG)
  MAG was recognised for its inspiring work empowering young men and promoting positive change within the community.

Local Legend

• Winner: Aim121, Youth Projects
  Honoured for its commitment to youth development, Aim121 continues to uplift and support young people across the UK.

Creative Industries

• Winner: Paulette Randall, MBE
  Acclaimed for her work in theatre, TV, and film, Randall was celebrated for her role in bringing Caribbean culture into mainstream media.

NHS Heroes

Innovative Black-Owned Business or Brand

Outstanding Personal Achievement

• Winner: Rianna Patterson, Dominica Dementia Foundation
  Patterson’s work raising awareness and providing support for dementia patients and their families earned her this prestigious recognition.
