The Baton Awards 2024 – in its seventh year and fresher than ever.

Where will you be when the winners of the seventh Baton Awards are announced on Thursday 28th November 2024?

In the audience at the spectacular gala dinner at No.11 Cavendish Square, right in the heart of London, no doubt.

Early bird tickets are still on sale but not for much longer. Currently on sale for £130 each. That price won’t be around forever. Grab it, before it flies away. Hosts for the night are To My Sisters.

These ladies represent this year’s theme of Power In Solidarity, beautifully. Two women from North London, Courtney Daniella Boateng and Renee Kapuku, are on a mission to see women win.

This trailblazing awards ceremony highlights the achievements of women of colour globally, in business, the charitable sector, and beyond.

Taking place during 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, following the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, this global movement hopes to #EndViolenceagainstwomenandgirls.

The Baton Awards raises funds for children’s domestic abuse charity, Strength Within Me Foundation (S.W.I.M), a pioneering intervention to address the domestic abuse of young girls and women.

Why is it important to pass the baton on?

Women from diverse ethnic backgrounds continue to be overlooked.

Let’s pass the baton on together.

Nominations have been received from all over the UK, with a special category for global submissions, in 14 categories, including Entrepreneur of the Year, Third Sector of the Year,

Thought Leader of the Year, and STEM trailblazer. At The Baton Awards 2023, many left victorious:

The STEM Trailblazer award was picked up by Dr Abigail Otchere. Co-founder of SiSTEM, a non-profit organisation aimed at supporting women and girls on their STEM journey.

Councillor Asher Craig won Political Figure Award.

Deputy Mayor, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Equalities at Bristol City Council, Craig’s story is one “steeped in community activism, fuelled by systemic racial injustice”.

She referred to herself as an “accidental politician”.

A Lifetime Recognition Award was given to comedian and actor, Angie Le Mar. 28th November 2024 will be a night to remember, with a gala dinner to announce the winner of The Baton Awards 2024.

As ever guests can expect a black-tie event that marks the start of the festive season.
