Meet Fatima Ahmad Maiwada. She have 12 years working experience in Construction, Education and Development sector while building her entrepreneurial skills.

She  started her career as a volunteer caring for motherless babies, and severed in crisis management/ rehabilitation committee,  advocating for peaceful coexistence (2007-2009). 

She started as a teacher and later became HOD Geography due to her hard work and dedication and love for owning her own school in future (2009-2013). 

Worked for world bank as the Social Development Officer (Gender Inclusion ) where she advocated for Women and youth representation in the rural communities.

She participated in capacity building of grassroot women on Village Savings and Loan scheme (VSLs), Cooperative formation, registration and leadership that will promote financial independence and decision making among women and youth.

Served as the Community Development Specialist, with focus on Agricultural, Infrastructure development and other income generating activities for rural communities. 

She trained women and youth on group financing, small business development and accessing loans in the financial institution and  advocated for the participation and inclusion of people living with special needs and HIV/AIDS into the program (2013-2017).

Fatima was the Business Development Specialist at an INGO and worked on Livelihood and Nutrition Empowerment (LINE) Project, and participated in the development of the “Agriculture Policy” which was adopted by the Bauchi state Government. 

She also trained and built the capacities of CSOs on citizen engagement and community entries for sustainable development (2017-2018).  

She consulted for African Community and Environmental Health Initiative (ACE-HI) 2019 on Empowerment, capacity building and social learning.

Presently she is the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Manager at eHealth Africa. 

She Participated in developing the checklist of Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) law. Member of steering committee on addressing gaps in Gender Based Violence/Harmful traditional practices in Nigeria.


Member of International Strategic Management Institute. Member of National Institute of Quantity Surveying (NIQS).

She bagged B.Tech in Quantity Survey, M.Tech in Project Management, PGD in Education, Certificate in Global Health Leadership and Management.

Certificate of completion: PRINCE II Methodology, Data Management, Inclusive leadership, Equality and Diversity,  Stakeholder Management and Engagement, HEFAT-FR and Human Resource Management.
