We are who we have been waiting on, and the time could not be more perfect for making the mark that will make a significant difference. Besides, there are some things that we have to do regardless of the pushback or resistance that may come with executing what we believe will make a difference. To create the opportunity that will provide the leverage to change the narrative requires that we don’t waver in our pursuit to make a difference.
There are truths, insights, and perspectives that we know, and to help change the misconceptions, we have to take the lead to inform those who have been misled, miseducated, and misguided.
Black men, the time is now, and the more we do what we know that needs to happen to help change the narrative, the more people will become aware that we are more than the labels and stigmas.
We are the change, and we have to take that seriously.
It may require doing more than the average, but it’s a worthwhile endeavor because not that we are the only ones who will benefit, but the next generation will as well.
Every positive change we initiate someone benefits, and at the same time, we are creating a ripple effect for more great things to happen.
Black men, the current climate that we are in can be used to our advantage, and we should take the opportunity to decide where we go from here.
Let’s not focus on how long it will take for the good things we have done and are currently doing to be the norm and focus on what we can do to ensure the great fortes and greatness about us become normal.
Black men, we must be in the driver’s seat, where we are the ones who should be dictating what our narratives will be, and in doing so, in due time, what we create will be what becomes normalized.
Let’s make it a goal to do something each day related to what we want to accomplish because the change we want to see will not happen on its own.
Black men, it’s on us to decide where we go from here. It can be what we decide, and although it will demand a lot from us, the process also helps us to activate more of our greatness, and it, in turn, inspire others.
By the way, creating opportunities for others are not just what we provide in a tangible form, but from our effort that helps to ignite within their own greatness.
